Improvements & More
Too big for a Saturday. Too small for a general contractor.
There is a real gap in this trade. Below a certain size, general contractors stop returning calls — it isn't worth mobilizing for. Above a certain size, a handyman shouldn't be taking it on.
That middle band is where most homeowners actually live: one room, one wall, one closet, one weekend that turned into six.
We take those, we scope them honestly, and if a job turns out to be bigger than it should be for us, we say so before you've paid for anything.
What's included

Some of this work

Who calls us for this
One room that needs painting and you've been putting it off for two years.
A rental that needs to look fresh before it lists.
A project a general contractor won't quote because it's too small to bother with.
What drives the price
There's no rate card on the site yet, because a made-up range helps nobody. Here's what actually moves the number:
- Square footage and how many coats and colors
- Prep — patching, sanding and masking is most of a paint job
- Ceiling height and access
- Material grade you choose
- Whether the room has to stay usable while we work
Questions we get
How big is too big for you?
If it needs permits, structural work or licensed trades, that's a general contractor. We'll tell you at the estimate rather than halfway through.
Do you do exterior painting?
Trim, doors and touch-up, yes. A full exterior repaint on a two-story is a painting crew's job.
Can you work while we live there?
Yes, and we plan it that way by default — one room at a time, cleaned up at the end of each day.
Do you move furniture?
We move what's reasonable and mask what stays. Anything heavy or fragile, we'd rather you handle before we start.
How do you price paint work?
By the room and the prep, not by the hour. You get a number before we start.
